Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has said he will tear his US Green Card the day President-Elect, Donald Trump, is inaugurated at the US president.
In the build up to the election, Soyinka had threatened to tear his Green Card if Trump, the Republican candidate, wins.
Shortly after the emergence of Trump as winner of the election, Soyinka told The Interview magazine that he would go ahead with his threat the inauguration is done.
American presidents are inaugurated on January 20 of the year after the election, translating to the fact that Trump will take the oath of office on January 20, 2017.
Soyinka told The Interview: “Come January 20, 2017, watch my WOLEXIT!”
