Delta leaders on Tuesday described Dr. Ngozi Olejeme as the best person to replace Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan in the Delta State Government House in 2015.
The Chairman, Delta Leaders Forum, Chief Julius Akpomughe, in a statement issued in Asaba, said Olejeme has all the necessary qualities to replace Uduaghan as the governor of Delta State based on her track records in Nigeria and her political savvy, which has made her the bride of all political groups in Delta State.
“Anybody following her activities in the country, particularly Delta State, will agree that she is the right candidate for the coveted post. She has the antidote to make the people happy and to carry all along,” Akpomughe said.
Continuing, the leaders said: “Even the Peoples Democratic Party is not unmindful of the unique leadership qualities inherent in her, so the party might eventually pick her as governorship flag bearer.”
They also pointed out that the fear expressed by some politicians over transparency and accountability, issues they said could be handled appropriately by Olejeme, who will also continue with the three point agenda being carried out by the current administration.
The statement added: “As a successful entrepreneur, an administrator of repute and a boardroom guru, with a wealth of experience and a proven record of success in governance and business management, Mrs. Olejeme has proved to Nigerians, particularly the people of Delta State that government is all about accountability to the people
“She is the best person for the state’s top office. She will make Delta a better place. She will invigorate the educational system, improve the health services, and keep the economy of the state in good shape.”
The leaders said any good Deltan that is current with political developments in the state will know that Olejeme is a politician who has the passion to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
The statement added: “Delta leaders have a liking for any person that is hard working and has a very good reputation. Olejeme has proved to us beyond reasonable doubt that she is the person to support. We are sure that those who understand the need for a good leader and a greater Delta State will support her.”
