The Federal Road Safety Commission in Kaduna on Wednesday said that 14 people were killed in an auto crash on the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.
The accident occurred in the early hours of the day.
The Public Enlightenment Officer of the FRSC in Kaduna State, Olusogo Ogungbe, confirmed the development.
Ogungbe said the accident occurred at Km 32 on the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway by Kakau village.
It involved a Hiace vehicle with number plate Zamfra XA 545 TMA.
Ogunbge said the vehicle was carrying 18 persons.
Nine men and five women died on the spot.
Three out of the four that sustained injuries were men while one was a woman.
The accident was attributed to overspeeding.
