Yobe State Deputy Governor, DG Alhaji Idi Gubana has lost his 100-year-old elder brother, Alhaji Ibrahim Barde.
The departed DG brother until his death was the Village Head of Gubana in the North Eastern State.
Barde, who died Sunday after a protracted illness. The deceased, who was buried Monday in Gubana, left behind three wives and 16 children.
One of the children is Alhaji Hamidu Ibrahim, a retired Director of Finance in the State civil service.
The funeral prayer was led by the Special Adviser to Governor Mai Mala Buni on Religious Affairs, Alhaji Baba Kyari.
The DG described the deceased as a dynamic and humble leader who spent a greater part of his life serving, uniting and guiding his people.
Gubana prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased and grant the family and people of the area the fortitude to bear the loss.
Those at the funeral prayer were: the Speaker, Yobe House of Assembly, Alahji Hassan Mirwa, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Baba Wali, the Emir of Fika and Chairman, Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Mohammad Ibn Abali, among others.
