The romance between former Super Eagles Assistant Coach, Godwin Koko Uwua, and Niger Tornadoes of Minna is heading for the rocks as agent to the coach, Babalo Mohammed, has threatened to withdraw his services.
Mohammed, in a statement, said the decision to withdraw Uwua’s services with Tornadoes is hinged on the failure of the Minna-based team to fulfill the contractual agreement with the coach.
According to him, Tornadoes and Uwua agreed to a N900,000 monthly salary, an official car and a befitting accommodation.
“But as I am talking with you, apart from the accommodation, the management of Niger Tornadoes has failed to give the coach an official car while they have reneged on the N900,000 monthly salary and instead paying him N600,000,” Mohammed said.
He stressed that the management of Tornadoes has further made the coach’s job difficult by dictating players’ selection to him.
“I am forced to withdraw Uwua from Tornadoes because of the management’s interference in the selection of players. This is aside the failed contractual agreement,” Mohammed added.
