A non governmental organization, Young African Leaders Initiative, established by former President of United States of America, Barrack Obama, has called on Nigerian youths to wake up and take up their leadership roles or be forever governed by the aged in Africa.
A statement from the US Embassy on Thursday in Abuja said the participants would join other African fellows in the U.S. for the programme.

Strassberger said that 25 per cent of the completed applications for the 2014 Washington Fellowship for YALI came from Nigerians out of the 8,070 applications submitted as at January 10
