At a four-day hearing, the Lausanne-based Court of Arbitration for Sport could deprive Russian athletes of their flag at next year’s Tokyo Olympics.

World athletics body IAAF said on Tuesday it will fight a Swiss court decision to suspend its rules obliging athletes, including double Olympic champion Caster Semenya, to lower their testosterone levels in order to compete in certain events.

Caster Semenya has filed an appeal to the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland challenging the recent ruling against her by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the double Olympic champion has announced.
