The State’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the abandoned children of the same parents, were brought to the Police by a ‘Good Samaritan’.

It was gathered that he was kidnapped at 9.30pm on Tuesday in front of his house around Dimrose Road in Yenagoa.
The accident occurred at the tollgate along Glory Land Drive in Igbogene axis of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
According to residents of the area, the baby must have been abandoned by the mother in the night.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, in a statement on Tuesday, said the suspects were arrested while trying to ferry one bag of weed, suspected to be Indian hemp, to the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.
Although Butswat said the Command had yet to receive details about the incident, some residents of the area claimed that they rescued the victims and recovered unspecified amount of money after the incident.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on the eve of the Saturday Senatorial by-election holding in two senatorial zones of the state.
