Makinde equally charged the residents of the state to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocol and stay safe.

The party stated this in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, on Friday in Abuja.
The statement further noted that Governor Makinde, who addressed a joint press conference with the FRSC Corps Marshal and other Road Safety Chiefs, said that it is important for states to collaborate with the Federal Government and federal agencies to resolve issues that impact on their local environments.
The governor, while flagging off the COVID-19 mass vaccination campaign in the state, held at the Aleshinloye Market, called on the people of the state to take advantage of the free service to get vaccinated.
He stated that his administration will unveil a long-term state development plan and a medium-term development plan from 2021-2025 in the second quarter of next year.
He commiserated with the family of the late Oba and the people of Igangan on the death of Oba Adewuyi, who he said loved his community and worked hard to bring peace and development to the domain.
He spoke at the Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons at the Remembrance Arcade, Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.
The governor offered the detailed explanation at the flagging off of the 34.8 kilometres Oyo-Iseyin federal road.
This was in keeping with what Makinde did last year when he paid workers and pensioners December salaries on the 16th.

The Oyo High Chief made his intention known on Tuesday at Omituntun House, Idi-Ape, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
While speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony for an 11 megawatts gas and solar hybrid plant, held at the Power House Building, Secretariat, Ibadan, Makinde assured that soon, residents of the state would enjoy constant electricity supply.

The governor, who was speaking through the Head of Service, Alhaja Amidat Agboola, at the year 2021 Public Service Forum, with the topic: “The Millennial Public Service: Springboard from Poverty to Prosperity”, held at the Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, UCH, Ibadan, said that the welfare of the workers and pensioners are germane to his administration.
The governor stated this in Iseyin, during the sod-turning ceremony for the newly-established Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
Akintunde was arrested in his residence at Alhaja Sara Street, Cele in Oyo Town at about 6am on November 18, 2021.
Makinde stated this while receiving the State Directors of the Department of State Services in the South West.
Makinde said this at a retreat for the newly-elected members of the National Working Committee of the party in Abuja.
