The union announced its decision to commence the strike on Thursday at the end of its congress, held at the Permanent Site of the institution.
The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, gave the directive on Monday in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The unions are Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and National Association of Academic Technologists.
A statement released by TETFund on Wednesday said the support is to be given through the Ministry of Education.
The Minister made this known in Abuja on Monday at Nigeria’s Annual Education Conference.
Bello said this when he spoke with newsmen shortly after heading a meeting of the APC CECPC at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Monday.
The parties said this would enable them to wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
