The Federal Government in a suit before the court prayed for the order for ASUU to call off its seven months strike
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, disclosed this on Friday in a letter addressed to NARD and the Federal Ministry of Health.
The suit, which was filed at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Ikoyi, came up for mention on Tuesday.
Addressing the court, counsel to the claimants (pensioners), Sunday Okpale, said that his clients were being paid monthly pensions in percentages since September 2016.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the court had on November 2 restrained the organised labour from proceeding on the nationwide strike scheduled for November 6, over new national minimum wage.
The President of NICN, Justice Babatunde Adejumo, in a circular released on Tuesday in Abuja, said that full judicial activities would commence on Sept. 24.
