Chimaobi Ebisike of the Peoples Democratic Party was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The Independent National Electoral Commission is overseeing the election which commenced in most polling stations on time on Saturday.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed March 27, 2021 for the by-election of Aba North/South Federal Constituency due to the death of its former representative, Hon. Ossy Prestige.

Kalu was received by Bello in his office, after which they went into a closed door meeting.

Kalu was reacting to the protest by the academic staff of Abia State Polytechnic and strike actions by teachers of public primary and secondary schools in the state over the non-payment of their backlog of salaries and allowances, amounting to 11 months and six months respectively.
