The Benue State Police Command on Monday said three persons were killed in a cult clash in Wadata area of Makurdi, the state capital.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Sewuese Anene, confirmed the cult clash to the News Agency of Nigeria in Makurdi.
Anene, a Superintendent of Police, said that rival cult groups clashed in Makurdi on Monday, killing three persons.

She said that 10 suspects were in police custody in connection with the incident while the command had removed the bodies of the dead to the morgue.
Anene said the Command’s Commissioner, CP Steve Yabanet, had ordered a full investigation into the clash.
She said normalcy had since returned following the deployment of police personnel to the area.
