It was learnt that on Sunday, at about 1900hrs, nine-year-old, Umaru Muhammed Zubairu a.k.a Hanif of 9, Numan road, Jimeta,Yola North was rescued by the police unharmed.

He enjoined residents of the state to go about the celebrations without any fear or apprehension, noting that the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), Operational Commanders and their supervisory Area Commanders have been directed to ensure the safety and security of the public .
According to the police spokesman in the state, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the reports from some ‘good Samaritans’, residents of Wuro Garba and Lugga villages of Hong Local Government area, who claimed they had been receiving threat letters to either pay a million naira each or risk being kidnapped led police to launch investigation, which resulted in the arrest of one Adoneja Dauda, 30, a resident of Hubbare Village, Maiha Local Government.
They were arrested on April 17, 2021 by operatives attached to Mubi South Division of the command, following complaint received from one Isaac Den, security coordinator of ATC Nigeria Wireless
It was learnt that operatives attached to Mubi North Division on Sunday arrested Aminu Jika, 36, and Muhammed Umar, 32, both residents of Wuro patuji Village, Mubi North Local Government.
The suspects were arrested by detectives attached to Karewa Division and Special Anti -Robbery Squad of the Command.
