Trading on the Nigerian Stock Exchange remained bullish on Wednesday with some highly capitalised stocks recording huge price gains.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the market capitalisation appreciated by N36 billion or 0.31 per cent to close at N11.758 trillion against N11.722 trillion recorded on Tuesday.
Similarly, the All- Share Index, which opened at 37,014.13, appreciated by 114.27 points or 0.31 per cent to close at 37,128.40.
Mobil recorded the highest price gain of N10.71 to close at N117.81 per share.
Lafarge Wapco followed with a gain of N2 to close at N100 per share, while Dangote Cement grew by N1 to close at N190 per share.
Berger Paint appreciated by 69k to close at N10.94 per share, while Julius Berger gained 50k to close at N66.50 per share.
On the other hand, Redstarex led the price losers’ chart with a loss of 25k to close at N4.64 per share.
Zenith Bank trailed with a loss of 15k to close at N20.30 per share, while Skye Bank dropped 14k to close at N4.80 per share.
Evans Medical and JohnHolt depreciated by 13k each to close at N3.35 and N1.42 per share, respectively.
NAN reports that investors exchange 213.24 million shares worth N3.2 billion in 5,815 deals against the 289.25 million shares valued at N3.2 billion traded in 5,419 deals on Tuesday.
NAN reports that GTBank emerged the most traded stock in term of volume with 26.43 million shares valued at N690.53 million.
Fidelity Bank ranked second, accounting for 17.03 million shares worth N52.28 million, while FBN Holding followed with 14.42 million shares valued at N252.43 million.
