Senator Rashidi Ladoja has assured his supporters that he is going to challenged the outcome of the governorship and state House of Assembly elections in Oyo State at the elections petitions tribunal.
Ladoja stated this on Tuesday at the Accord state party secretariat in Samonda Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, when he addressed party supporters.
The Accord gubernatorial candidate said there are sufficient proofs to show that the elections were rigged in favour of the All Progressives Congress with the active cooperation of some unscrupulous officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Ladoja vowed to reclaim his mandate no matter the cost.
He however warned, that if the attacks on members of Accord by thugs loyal to the APC continues, he will be left with no choice than to urge his party members to defend themselves with every means necessary.
He wondered why a party which claimed to have won the election will resort to visiting members of the opposition with wanton violence on the grounds that the people did not vote for them.
The former governor stated further that if the violence continues, he will personally lead his people out to defend themselves.
He said it will be a mistake to take for granted the peaceful manner members and supporters of Accord had conduct themselves even in the face of brazen provocation.
Senator Ladoja hinted that he will heading to court knowing fully well that no matter how far a lie travels, the truth will catch up with it a jiffy.
He said he will do whatever it takes to get justice and claim the mandate freely given him by the people of Oyo State.
