A former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has emerged as the new Emir of Kano.
this was after Sanusi had earlier in the day sold a dummy to Nigerians, especially the media, that the son of late Emir Ado Bayero, Alhaji Sunusi Lamido Ado Bayero had emerged the emir.
writing on his Twitter page, Sanusi on Sunday announced the choice of Bayero, saying the official confirmation would come later.
sanusi was suspended by President Goodluck Jonathan as the CBN governor.
Late Bayero died on Friday and was buried same day.
