Super Eagles’ manager, Gernot Rohr, will on Monday release the 35-man provisional list ahead of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The list, according to the Super Eagles’ media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, will be made public and also be sent to FIFA to beat the submission deadline for the Mundial.
The spokesman revealed that the list comprises of young and experienced players that will fight for shirts for the World Cup.
Ibitoye’s words: “There is no reason for Nigerians to worry as we are going to meet the submission deadline. The coach (Gernot Rohr) monitored the players in their various club sides and has settled for the quality ones. So we are good to go.”
It was however gathered that the players are curious to know their fate even before the list is made public.
It was learnt that efforts made to lobby the Franco-German tactician have so far been futile.
He was said to have kept the list close to his chest.
Barring injuries, players such as John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi, Shehu Abdullah, Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfried Ndidi have booked their place in the final list for the global fiesta.
