The Presidency and the All Progressives congress have waded into the face-off between the Kogi State Government and Dangote Industries Limited over the ownership of Dangote Cement factory, Obajana, Kogi State.
The Eagle Online recalls that the Kogi State Government is accusing DIL of shortchanging the state in the acquisition.
The face-off, which has been on for about two weeks, reached a peak when vigilantes stormed the factory, shooting several workers in the bid to shut it down.
At the meeting to resolve the issue, following the emergence of a photograph, were the Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule; Founder of DIL, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; and National Chairman of APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
It was learnt that the meeting, which lasted for several hours, held between Thursday night and Friday morning.
Sources told The Eagle Online that the inability of the meeting to resolve the face-off led to the Kogi State Government heading to the court.
