The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress Segun Oni, will lead a six-member team from the party’s national leadership to coordinate the Situation Room during the Ondo governorship election.
The information is in a statement by Edegbe Odemwingie, the party’s Assistant Director of Publicity, made available on Tuesday in Abuja.
Odemwingie stated that the decision was reached after a meeting of the party’s National Working Committee on Tuesday in Abuja.
He noted that other members of the team were the party’s National Vice Chairman (South-West), Chief Pius Oluwole Akinyelure and its National Vice Chairman (North-West), Inuwa Abdul-Kadir.
He added that the party’s Zonal Youth Leader (South West), Adedotun Oluwasegun, the Zonal Woman Leader (South West) Kemi Nelson and APC Chieftain, Hon Acho Obioma would also form part of the team.
He stated that the party’s Situation Room was expected to liaise with the Control Centre, which would be situated at its National Secretariat in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Ondo State governorship election is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 26.
