How Ondo ex-commissioner Akerele died

Festus, a security guard of the late Commissioner for Information in Ondo State, Ranti Akerele, has narrated how his boss died.
Akerele died at 53 at his Aule Estate residence in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to his security guard, Akerele was hale and hearty when he went to bed on Monday.
He did not wake up on Tuesday morning.
The security guard said: “Oga came home in the evening to get some food for his wife, Mrs. Lucy Akerele, who had been on admission in the hospital.
“He then told me that he would be back by 9pm from the hospital, which he did, and parked his car and told me to put off the generating set before he went into the house to sleep.
“When I woke up this morning, I realised that oga did not come out early as usual.
“So after washing the car, I then tried calling his number, which I realised was not going through.
“That was when I began to knock on the door and there was no response.
“It was while I was calling on him that madam’s call came into my phone to ask where oga was.
“That she has been trying his number and it’s not going through.
“That was when I went to check him through his bedroom window and I saw that he was lying there and I called him but he never responded and I raised an alarm.
“We had to break the door and found his lifeless body on the bed, before an ambulance of First Mercy Specialist Hospital, Akure was brought to take his body to the hospital mortuary to deposit his remains.”
