Emeka Inyama, the Chairman of the Nigeria National League, on Sunday said that the competition had been fully registered as a limited liability company as part of the efforts to reposition it.
Inyama said in a statement in Lagos that henceforth the league would be known as Nigeria National League Limited.
According to the statement, the new status has been etched in its certificate of incorporation.
It said that the NNL secretariat in Abuja had received the certificate of incorporation with registration number RC 1182549 from the Corporate Affairs Commission.
The statement disclosed that the incorporation of the league would enhance the marketing drive of the body.
“The registration has given the secretariat the impetus to go the extra mile to reposition the league to the benefit of the stakeholders,” Inyama said.
It will be recalled that the NNL during its 2013 Annual General Assembly in Abuja, approved the incorporation of the league to allow for partnership with corporate bodies.
