The Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has been declared the validly elected candidate for the state’s governorship seat in the last election in the state by the state’s Election Petition Tribunal.
In declaring Mimiko the validly elected candidate of the election, the tribunal, headed by Justice Andovar Ka’kan, dismissed the petitions brought before it by the candidates of the Action Congress of Nigeria in the election, Barrister Rotimi Akeredolu, and the Peoples Democratic Party, Barrister Olusola Oke.
Oke’s petition was said to be at variance with his pleadings.
