The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency has announced the closure of a major railway crossing in Lagos State owing to the construction of the Lagos-Ibadan railway track.
The announcement was contained in a statement on Saturday.
According to LASTMA, the closure of the railway crossing at Fagba will be from 9pm on Saturday (today) till 12 midnight on Sunday (tomorrow).
The agency then listed the following alternative routes:
1. Motorists using Jonathan Coker, Mofolasayo Drive, Agric Road linking Fagba iintersection should use Social Club Road to Charity linking old Abeokuta Rd to Tabon-Tabon enroute Odejobi Road back to Fagba on Iju-Ishaga Road.
2. Motorists coming from Ishaga, Ajuwon and Old Akute Rd going to Abule Egba should use Odejobi Road to Tabon-Tabon to Old Abeokuta Rd and connect Abule Egba.
The Agency said its “personnel will be on ground to manage and control traffic before, during and after the exercise.
“While soliciting the co-operation and understanding of the motorists, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
