Kebbi governor signs N151b Appropriation Bill to law

The Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Saidu Dakingari, on Wednesday signed the 2014 Appropriation Bill of N151 billion to law.

Dakingari, who signed the budget at a brief ceremony in Birnin Kebbi, said the budget was increased from N131 billion to N151 billion.

The governor, who commended the state House of Assembly on the increase, however, did not provide further breakdown of the budget.

He assured that the budget would be 100 per cent implemented, adding that all the on-going projects would be completed before the end of his tenure in 2015.

The initial budget of N131.7 billion was presented to the House by the governor.

It was, however, increased following the approval of the N19 billion supplementary budget by the state assembly in November last year.
