The Niger State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress has run into trouble waters as the younger brother to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, Aminu Sani Bello, and many other influential politicians dumped the party for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
Another popular politician in Niger North Senatorial District, Abubakar Buhari, and many others also dumped the APC.
The Governor’s younger brother, Aminu, from Kontagora Central Ward, alongside another bigwig, Abubakar Buhari, have obtained their PDP membership card.
While presenting the membership card to them, the Ward Chairman, Kontagora Central, Umar Hassan, said: “The incompetence, clueless and ineptitude of the APC can only be moment of mediocre.”
In his remarks, Zonal Chairman for Niger North, Yahaya Abdullahi, welcomed the duo and their followers, charging them to work towards the PDP’s development and success.
Abdullahi said: “Both of you are welcome.
“We also welcome all of you who have decided to join the PDP.
“Make sure you study the party’s constitution and work hard for the development of the party.”
It was gathered that the formal reception ceremony will hold soon as they have only obtained membership card.
