President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to attend the General Assembly of the African Union this weekend in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Informed sources told The Eagle Online that the President’s advance team is already in the Ethiopian capital for the summit.
It was learnt that the various committees of the AU have commenced their meetings.
The main sessions will hold on Saturday and Sunday.
Jonathan had to cancel his trip to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum owing to the bomb explosions in Kano on Friday.
With the situation now calm, sources said the President has decided to pursue official matters that are extremely beneficial to the country in all ramifications.
