Another tragedy has befallen Plateau State as unknown gunmen attacked Sho village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, killing 14 people.
In addition, seven more dead bodies have been recovered from Sunday night’s bomb blast in the city of Jos.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the communities at about 12noon on Tuesday.
They opened fire on arrival.
Confirming this, the member representing Barkin Ladi Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Gyendeng, decried the situation.
Gyendent said it was worrisome such occur on daily basis in his constituency.
He called on the Federal Government to do everything possible to nip in the bud the activities of terrorists in his area.
Also confirming the incidence was Mark Lipdo, the Coordinator of Stephanos Foundation, a Non Governmental organisation.
Lipdo described the attack as inhuman and said such must be condemned by every Nigerian, especially by the political leadership of the country.
Meanwhile more deaths have been recorded from the twin blasts that rocked Jos on Sunday night.
A medical worker who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity, said some of the injured in the blast have died.
According to him: “More deaths have been recorded in our hospital.
“Seven persons hospitalized in our hospital have died.”
The National Emergency Management Agency, confirmed that the death toll has risen to 51.
NEMA had on Monday said 44 persons lost their lives and 47 others critically injured in the twin blasts.
Speaking to our correspondent on Tuesday on the phone, the North Central Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Mohammed Abdulsalami, confirmed that one of the injured died on Tuesday morning, while six more corpses were recovered from the scene of the blast.
