The Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, has called the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, a drowning man.
Moshood, a Chief Superintendent of Police, said this on a Channels Television programme, which also featured the Chief Press Secretary to Ortom, Terver Akase, leading to a shouting match between the two.
The live show, anchored by Maupe Ogun-Yusuf, had to be taken off air for tempers to calm between Moshood and Akase.
Moshood, who was reacting to the call by Ortom for the sack of Idris over the way he has handled and reacted to the killings by herdsmen in Benue State, said: “You don’t just listen to a drowning man….”
This sparked spontaneous reaction from Akase, who did not let him complete the sentence.
After the break, Moshood withdraw the statement, according to the video posted by www.newsmakersng.com.
