The Nasarawa State Police Command on Wednesday confirmed the abduction of a four-year-old girl at her school in Masaka, Nasarawa State.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Ismaila Umar-Noman, made the disclosure in a statement given to News Agency of Nigeria in Lafia.
The command said the abductors on Friday kidnapped the little girl from her school, Pilot Science School, Masaka in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The statement said the kidnappers took away the child, while she was playing with other pupils during break at the school premises.
It explained that at the time the girl was taken away, she was wearing a yellow T-shirt bearing the name of her school.
The statement appealed to anyone with information on the girl to contact the nearest police station or call the command on: 081-269-26-80
It also appealed to members of the public to always give useful information to policemen to assist them in combating criminal activities in the state.
