The Federal Government has commended the combat-readiness of the Nigerian Air Force to meet emerging modern challenges.
Vice President Namadi Sambo gave the commendation at the closing ceremony of AIR EXPO 2012 in Kaduna, organised by ther Nigerian Airforce.
Sambo said: “The various arsenals, equipments and aerial displays and combat-readiness tactics exhibited during the Expo has demonstrated the fitness and readiness of our Air Force and indeed the military to face emerging challenges.”
Reiterating the Federal Government’s commitment towards ensuring the safety of lives and property of all Nigerians and visitors, Sambo called on insurgent groups to take advantage of the offer of dialogue by government in the interest of peace and development in the country.
He said: “With the formation of strategic training modules and exhibitions of our tested and trusted personnel, there is no doubt that we are creating one of the best air force on the African continent.”
The five-day event witnessed various displays and exhibitions.
It was declared open by President Goodluck Jonathan.
