A mediapreneur, Ben Murray-Bruce, has offered a middle ground towards resolving the crisis over the emirship tussle in Kano State.
He offered the advice a day after Aminu Ado Bayero and Muhammadu Sanusi II laid claim to the Emir of Kano throne.
The Eagle Online recalls that while Sanusi has the backing of the Kano State Government, which reinstated him as the Emir of Kano four years after he was dethroned by former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Bayero, who was deposed, returned to Kano to lay claim to the throne.
Speaking on the development on his X handle on Sunday, Murray-Bruce said the best bet was for the parties to await the final position of the court on the issue.

He said until this is done, both Sanusi and Bayero should be accorded equal treatment.
The former representative of Bayelsa East Senatorial District said: “Until the courts decide who the legitimate Emir of Kano is, my opinion is that every courtesy that is entitled to an Emir should be extended to both parties, and peace should be maintained. It is wrong to demonise anyone giving respectful treatment to Emir Aminu Ado Bayero or Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
“Let the court decide, and the government and people abide.
“A judge has judicial powers irrespective of his location.
“What is paramount is that he is giving an upright judgment.
“And even where I, as a former legislator, opine strongly that only the Kano State Government and the judiciary should resolve this matter, if it leads to a breakdown of law and order, then the Federal Government, as guarantor of the peace and security of the Nigerian state, should immediately and authoritatively step in for the maintenance of the rule of law.”
