As worshippers throng Minna, the Niger State capital, for the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), former Nigeria Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has described the Convener and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, as the most honest person he has as a friend.

Babangida made this disclosure when Kumuyi and his wife, Esther, alongside other pastors paid a visit to him at his Hilltop residence in Minna in preparation to the GCK Crusade starting on Thursday.

This was as the renowned Pastor disclosed that General Babangida has assured that he will be part of the crusade through the media streaming.

While declaring his trust for the Convener, the elderstatesman urged people of the state irrespective of their religion to attend the crusade.

Accordingly, he said “I have known you (Kumuyi) for a very long time. You have been a very sincere and honest friend. You are a good man.

“I will advise everybody in Niger state to attend the GCK Crusade because you are a good man, I know what is good for Nigerlites and those of us who are your friends, you wish us the same.

“I know you, and what you are going to say is going to be very useful to all of us, the citizens of Niger state and the nation at large. So, I encourage everybody to attend the crusade.”

In his remarks, Pastor Kumuyi said “it’s a great honour to be with our former Military President and it’s a great pleasure that we are sharing together. He knows what I have come to do in Niger state.”

Confirming General Babangida’s attendance after their private meeting, the Convener of the GCK, Pastor Kumuyi said “the former Military President assured that he will watch the live streaming of the Crusade from home over the media too.”

While expressing joy, Pastor Kumuyi said. “it is a great honour to be with our former Military President and it’s a great pleasure that we are sharing together.

“He knows what I have come to do in Niger state. General Babangida knows about the GCK Crusade in Niger state”.

He further disclosed that, “the Former Military President while encouraging all Nigerlites to attend, assured that he will be part of the crusade through the live streaming of the Crusade from home.

“We thank the Lord and know God is going to do great things for Niger state and all those who are going to be watching live over the media it is going to be a great time together.”
