About five years after Cynthia Osukogu, a postgraduate student of Nasarawa State University, was murdered by her Facebook friends, two of the suspects were on Thursday sentenced to death.
The sentence was handed down by Justice Olabisi Akinlade of an Igbosere High Court in Lagos State.
Okwumo Nwabufo (33) and Olisaeloka Ezike (23) were found guilty by the court of conspiring together to take Osukogu’s life while trying to steal her property.
The court however discharged and acquitted the other two accused persons, Orji Osita (33) and Ezike Nonso (25), over the failure of the prosecution to prove its case against them.
