An Ilorin, Kwara State Magistrates’ Court on Monday remanded a drummer, Bashiru Ishola, for allegedly kidnapping three female children.
The victims, aged between six and 10, were allegedly lured by the accused with bread on July 26 at Popo-Giwa area of Ilorin.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Al-hassan Jubril, told the court that the accused was arrested at Okekere area of Ilorin while boarding a cab with the children.
Jubril said the accused was arraigned on a two-count charge of kidnapping and abduction, contrary to Section 271 of the Penal Code.
He objected to the bail of the accused on the ground that the alleged offences were not bailable.
Magistrate Ibijoke Olawoyin ordered the remand of the accused in Mondala Prison, Ilorin and adjourned the case to August 30 for mention.
