The corpses of six ladies, whose identities could not be established as at press time, have been found in a canal in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
This development was confirmed on Tuesday by the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Joseph Offor.
Offor said the Command was already trying to unravel the circumstances that may have led to the death of the women.
He said the investigation had been handed over to the Homicide Department of the Command.
He said: “We don’t know the identity of the women yet.
“The women’s decomposing corpses were found in a canal at Anibaba area, off Akele Street, Ikorodu at about 3.30pm on Sunday.
“We have not yet made any arrest in relation to the incident.”
