Cholera kills 71 in Kano

No fewer than 71 persons have been killed in Kano State since the outbreak of cholera in November 2013.
Also, 2,165 have been affected by the killer disease within the period.
The Project Director, Centre for Disease Control, AbdulSalam Nasadi, told newsmen on Friday in Kano that most of the reported cholera cases are centred around Kano, the capital of Kano State and Nigeria’s second largest city.
Nasadi said health officials have been deployed to curtail the spread of the disease.
