The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the president had on April 30 and May 4 met with the same security chiefs and heads of intelligence community as part of ongoing critical engagements meant to provide solutions to security challenges in the country.

He enjoined residents of the state to go about the celebrations without any fear or apprehension, noting that the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), Operational Commanders and their supervisory Area Commanders have been directed to ensure the safety and security of the public .
