Former Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Taiwo Joseph Ogunjobi, is dead.
Ogunjobi’s media aide, Tunde Shamsudeen, disclosed this in a brief telephone chat on Monday.
“My ‘dad’ is gone,” Shamsudeen sobbed.
The Chairman of Osun State Football Association, according to the media adviser, breathed his last in the early hours of Monday at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Ogunjobi starred for IICC of Ibadan as captain and was a trojan in Green Eagles defence in the 70’s.
The deceased guided 3SC of Ibadan to win the FA Cup and the league title same year. Ogunjobi also managed Gabros International FC and at a time board member of the NFF.
