Kano State on Thursday recorded more cases than Lagos State in the number of fresh cases of Coronavirus Disease in Nigeria on Thursday.
This was part of the figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in its update late on Thursday on the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
In the update on its Twitter handle, the coordinating agency for the control of diseases in the country revealed that Kano State had 80 cases, while Lagos State, which had been at the top virtually on daily basis since the outbreak of the disease in the country on February 27, 2020, followed with 45 cases.
Gombe State recorded 12 cases, while Bauchi and Sokoto States had nine each.
Borno and Edo States recorded seven cases each, with Rivers and Ogun States having six confirmed cases.
The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa States all had four cases, while Kaduna State recorded three.
Oyo, Delta and Nasarawa States were also on the list with two cases each, with Ondo and Kebbi States having one each.
In summary, as at 11:50pm on April 30, 2020, Nigeria had recorded a total of 1,932 confirmed cases of COVID19, with 58 deaths and 319 infected persons successfully treated and discharged.
