Super Eagles’ striker, Sone Aluko, has pledged to repay manager, Steve Bruce, for handing him a new contract at Hull City.
The Tigers hit man is closing in on a return after being out for three months with a torn Achilles.
And the Nigerian international cannot wait to return to action after penning a deal that will keep him on Humberside until the summer of 2016.
Aluko, 24, said: “The manager has shown his faith in me by giving me another contract, and now it’s down to me to repay him by producing the goods out on the pitch.
“When I first signed I said the team was good enough to get to the Premier League and that I felt my second year here would be in the top flight.
“That is how it’s worked out, and I’m delighted about it.”
