The police in the Nsukka Division of Enugu State Command said on Friday they arrested a suspected armed robber and kidnapper who had for long been on the wanted list.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu that the suspect was arrested on Monday following his nefarious activities in Nsukka and its environs.
Amaraizu said that the suspect hailed from Odolu in Kogi State and had been on police wanted list.
The Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Mohammed, said he was determined to sanitise and rid the state of criminal activities.
Mohammed called on the people to cooperate with the police to ensure that criminal elements were flushed out.
