President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night met with some senators, led by Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The meeting is coming amid moves by the Presidency and the All Progressives Congress to stop members of the party from leaving for opposition parties, especially the Peoples Democratic Party.
Two of such meetings were held with the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, by President Buhari and the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole.
The APC became divided following the formation of the Reformed All Progressives Congress.
The senators, who met with Buhari, were seen at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday night along with the Jigawa State Governor, Abubakar Badaru.
