The Lagos State Government has announced further restriction of vehicular movement at Agege Intersection between Railway Crossing and Church Street through Agunbiade Street in Agege following the ongoing construction of the Pen Cinema Bridge.
A statement released on Friday by the Ministry of Transportation said the restriction is necessitated by the construction of Precast/Prestressed Concrete for the dual carriage flyover at Pen Cinema Junction.
It stated further that the traffic diversion will prevent vehicles coming from Ipaja Road towards Ogba from turning left at Oke-Koto, but will have to go straight towards Agege Motor Road and take a left turn to connect the alternative route beside Agege Post office to link Moshalashi Alhaja onwards.
Similarly, it advised motorists coming from Old Abeokuta Motor Road, Abule Egba towards Oke-Koto/Alfa Nla Roads to turn right at Abattoir into Oko-Oba Road to link Orile Road to continue their journey or NITEL into Orile Road then turn left into Fagbola/Adejobi Street to navigate into Agege Motor Road via Kasumu Street off Agunbiade Road.
While soliciting the understanding of Lagosians during the period of diversion, the statement implored motorists plying the affected routes to exercise patience and obey traffic management officials deployed to the identified routes.
The traffic diversion takes effect from May 1, 2018.
