The Kaduna State Governor, Ramalan Yero, on Friday visited the people of Kaura Local Government Area of the state following unidentified gunmen attack, which left a family of seven dead.
The attack, which was randomly launched on the people of Ugwan Kajit in the Manchok Chiefdom, also left five houses and vehicles burnt.
Yero, during the visit to the affected community, described the incident as “unfortunate, barbaric and ungodly”, saying what befell the people affected the entire state.
He urged the people to exercise patience, promising that the state government would collaborate with the the authorities of Kaura Local Government Area to ensure the safety of the area.
The governor however expressed the belief that the perpetrators of such act were not from the state.
Yero enjoined the people to live in peace with one another and prayed God to expose the perpetrators.
