The Committee of Unions of Tertiary institutions, Kwara State chapter, has suspended its seven-day ultimatum to the state government to meet its demands.
The committee, at a meeting with the Special Adviser on Labour to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Comrade Bisi Fakayode, and the Senior Special Assistant Media, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, promised to shelve their plan out of respect for the governor.
The Committee’s Chairman, Comrade S. A. Sanni said it is their hope that the government would reciprocate the gesture by responding to the agreements reached at the meeting promptly.
Responding, Comrade Fakayode commended CUTI for its maturity in suspending the ultimatum, stressing that government will do all in its capacity to uphold industrial harmony in the state.
