Two clerics, Malam Aminu Umar Usman and Malam Umar Shangel, have been arrested for conducting congregational prayers in Kaduna State.
The clerics were arrested on Friday.
They were said to have violated the Kaduna State public health preventive measures as it relates to the Coronavirus Disease.
A Kaduna State Government statement said Usman and Shangel will be prosecuted.
The state government had earlier in the week banned congregational prayers in a bid to stop the spread of COVID-19.
