The group noted that Nigeria had experienced over 30 instances of system collapse within few months, with six recorded in January 2018.
The Managing Director of TCN, Usman Gur Mohammed, said the new transformer will enable the transfer of additional bulk electricity to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company.
This followed the expiration of the one year “special” tenure of Usman Gur Mohammed as interim Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the agency.
The Interim Managing Director of TCN, Usman Gur-Mohammed, made the disclosure at an interaction with newsmen in Abuja.
