An International Monetary Fund (IMF) Staff team flew into Abuja on November 6, 2022 for Article IV consultation meeting with Nigerian government officials and private sector leaders. Discussions took place during the next 2 weeks in Abuja. The Executive Board of the IMF agreed with the IMF staff recommendations to the incoming Nigerian government.
