It was learnt that on April 20 at about 6am, the Divisional Police Officer of Batsari led operatives of Operations “Puff Adder” and “Sharan-Daji” to Shekewa village, an exit route to Dumburum forest, and successfully repelled bandits on heinous mission.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Gambo Isah, said in a statement that the bandits were forced to abandon their mission and fled into the forest with varying degrees of bullet wounds due to police superior firepower.
